La Italian Federation of Hunting commented on the sentence with which the Constitutional Court partially rejected the Regional Law of Liguria number 29 of 2015: the sentence declared some aspects of the culling plans that are entrusted to the hunting teams, in particular the carrying out of activities outside the hours provided for by the National Law.
The hunting association is convinced that all this has created a very serious problem at the national level as regards the control of wildlife, with the Regions that have been forced to ask for an urgent meeting to find an adequate solution to this blockade. As recalled by Federcaccia, trained personnel are active free of charge, at your own expense and at your own risk: it is not a matter of hunting, but of public safety operations. These operations aim to prevent damage to farms, but also to canals, rivers and the circulation of vehicles.
The association hopes for a quick solution and that the Government reflects on the need to adopt legislation capable of seriously and scientifically addressing the issue of problematic and redundant species. Finally, Federcaccia said he was willing to continue with the Italian hunting world in carrying out activities that range for the benefit of the whole community.
