In a few hours the city of Marche di Ascoli Piceno will be one of the few to boast a multipurpose dog center. As reported by Ascolinews.it, in fact, in two days, Sunday 10 April 2016, this brand new structure will be inaugurated with an official ceremony in Campolungo. The area chosen in this case is owned by the municipality and the center will take the name of the nearby Villa Sgariglia. The idea came to mind atItalian National Dog-loving Body (ENCI), who has provided a fundamental contribution, while for the actual realization it is necessary to thank Cwithin Cinofilo Piceno. What is it specifically and why are such centers so rare in Italy?
As stated by the mayor of Ascoli, Guido Castelli, this reality will allow to improve and nourish the culture of dog lovers: the structure will be at the complete service of dogs and will also be a space for handlers who will have the opportunity to relax while their pet has fun and runs in suitable and training spaces. The multipurpose address is not very common in our country and in this case it was decided to go big. Eg, the area has an overall size of eleven hectares, with a series of areas that will be distinguished according to their specific use.
In particular, training areas have been created, others for training and tests intended for pointing dogs (setters and pointers). There will also be an area used for training dogs for defense and which are engaged in social work. In addition, there will be a space dedicated to ordinary citizens who intend to spending time with their pets in the fresh air. The multipurpose dog center will have, among other things, the task of organizing courses on various topics. The economic effort of ENCI and the sacrifices of the Piceno Dog Center have made it possible to avoid public funding.
The Ascoli interprovincial section of the Italian Federation of Hunting has organized very interesting dog events in this part of the Marches. Among the main ones there is certainly the "Sant'Uberto Team Trophy" Championship, with the Dog Training Area (ZAC) "Liberati Mario" of Montegiorgio to host the members and participants. It is therefore possible to hypothesize new tenders over the next few months, with a new and well-equipped center to make the events even more exciting. One of the last dates back to August 30th: this is the provincial elimination that involved pointing or hunting dogs in a fifteen-minute hunting shift.
