As announced on his Facebook profile by the regional councilor of Molise, Christian Di Pietro, the II Council Commission met again yesterday, Monday 17 July 2017, to examine the regulation for the selection hunting for ungulates. With two votes in favor and three against, it was expressed unfavorable opinion on this document, a situation that is repeated after the impasse of recent days.
As far as the hunting calendar 2017-2018, instead, there was a "no opinion given": in detail, there were two favorable votes, while three regional councilors abstained. The President of the Commission, Salvatore Micone, will now have to transmit the documents to the Regional Council, called to proceed with the process. As Di Pietro himself recalled, the opinion on the regulation concerning ungulates is in no way binding, therefore there are no problems from this point of view.
Among other things, there were numerous and repeated calls for weighting, which some members of the Commission did not take into account despite the problems of the Molise hunting world. Final approval of the regulations and the calendar is expected shortly, since we are talking about two fundamental acts for the hunters of this region.
