Today, Friday June 10 2016, the Piedmontese hunters found themselves in Turin for demonstrate against the Region and demanding respect for the rights of 25mila people, "Discriminated against and penalized as it does not happen elsewhere". Several hundred hunters met at Piazza Castello at 10:30, to be precise in front of Palazzo Madama. The procession then left at 11, in a civil and orderly manner, along Via Pietro Micca and Via Arsenale, before reaching the Regional Council in Via Alfieri. The event was organized by the local sections of Federcaccia, Libera Caccia, Enalcaccia, Game Producers and ANUUMigratoristi.
As reported byHandle, the governor Sergio Chiamparino and councilor Giorgio Ferrero commented on the event, explaining that they deserve the reproaches of the hunting associations, as they proved to be always respectful of the rights of hunters, as well as other citizens. There hasn't been a parade of this type for ten years, specifically since October 2006.
The discrimination mentioned in the joint press release by the organizers began two years ago with absurd decisions and continuous appeals to administrative justice. Among the main reasons for today's appointment we must remember the ban on taking wild species that have always been hunted in Piedmont and the willingness to intervene on the administration of Territorial Areas of Hunting and Alpine Districts to merge the management committees.
