Farmers and hunters from Lazio they rejected without appeal the hunting calendar 2018-2019 proposed by the regional council led by Nicola Zingaretti. This is why they have illustrated all the reasons for their no. The Wildlife Hunting Technical Committee met with all stakeholders, but the vote of hunting and agricultural associations was unanimous and negative. Both were "snubbed" at the first opportunity. First of all the hunting in pre-opening it concerns only a species that is really the object of the hunting world, that is African turtledove.
The hunting pressure is therefore concentrated on a single animal, a discrimination for Lazio hunters who look with envy on their colleagues from the Marche, Umbria and Tuscany. There is also no regulation for fox hunting, a surplus species and which should be better looked after. Furthermore, fighter and tufted duck were not included among the huntable species as happens in other areas of Italy.
The criticisms also concern the lark hunting (the game bag should be doubled), the failure to grant the two additional hunting days for stalking migrants and October and November and the failure to grant the derogation as regards the transfer. The draft of the hunting calendar can therefore only be rejected. The regional council risks moving forward without the endorsement of hunters, farmers and environmentalists.
