Guards prepared and updated for good supervision of the territory. In the hunting world and among hunters, the theme of hunting surveillance and the voluntary work of the Venator Security Guardsand it is not valued as it deserves and often there is even a certain mistrust of the figure of the Guard understood as a repressive subject. Conversely, the figure of the GGVV has taken on in recent years an ever greater relevance, not only for the activities traditionally linked to the surveillance and prevention of hunting crimes and offenses, but also for the many activities related to the wildlife hunting management (controlled catches, execution of control plans, etc.).
These and other tasks are fundamental for the activities planned by the territorial hunting areas but also for the functioning and good management of important public wildlife institutions such as the Restocking and Capture Areas, Hunting Areas, Protection Areas and private individuals such as hunting farms and hunting farms. For years there was also the need to train and enable new Volunteer Guards, both for the growing tasks assigned to them, and to ensure the necessary generational change. With the latest legislative innovations introduced by the Region, some training courses were recently organized by the Confederate Hunting Association which saw the participation of many interested parties.
The courses, organized with the support of the competent technical structure of Cedaf (Environmental and Faunistic Didactic Education Center) have set themselves the goal of ensuring the highest educational quality both on legislative aspects and on matters of environmental, wildlife and management interest. The expectation is to train and enable "new" figures complete with the knowledge required but also responding to the problems of the territory and the coordination of voluntary and environmental protection activities. Already in these days the Tuscany Region is preparing the dates for the examination tests in some provincial realities including that of Florence.
To give greater quality to this important work and to update the GGVV already in possession of the decree, the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters has developed a new "Handbook" updated with the latest regulatory changes, extremely simple to consult and essential for supervisory activities. The publication drawn up in collaboration with the Provincial Police of Florence will be available and distributed free of charge to interested GGVV and course participants, already in the next few days. Anyone interested in having a copy of the handbook can contact the CCT secretariat directly at the number 055/2657446 or by email - [email protected].
