I Umbrian wild boarists have not accepted the payment of the new higher fees as decided by theTerritorial Area of Hunting Perugia 1. The increase was motivated by the need to pay damages for the failure to contain ungulates in the last hunting season. That's why theNational Free Hunting Association filed an appeal to the Regional Administrative Court to cancel the management plan.
There will have to be a verification of the formal irregularities of this document, in addition to the possible highlighting of the inadequacy profiles of the abatement plan developed by the Perugia ATC. The teams are convinced ofabsence of prevention as regards the numerical maintenance of wild boars at tolerable levels of density. Among other things, there would not even have been a confrontation with the hunting associations to deal with these unsuitable abatement plans.
The same goes for the operating deficit recorded in 2017 (beyond 243mila euros to be precise). The administrative judges will therefore have to evaluate the management plan, also because the hunters are afraid to pay the fee damage to agricultural crops which were not covered by the regional fund. ANLC was thanked as the only association that was interested in the appeal to carry it out and try to clarify it.
