As disclosed by the Hunting Federation, a few days ago the Council of State rejected the appeal of the Umbria Region against the suspension of the hunting deer and bovidae decided by the TAR. The judges had accepted the requests of the WWF and now a new blow has arrived for the hunting world. The association commented on the story: “As a hunting association we cannot hide our perplexity regarding this decision, which in fact, the suspension sanctioned by the Tar is legitimate waiting for the same Regional Administrative Court to rule on the merits, on 9 December.
Therefore, the selective collection of cervids and bovids remains prohibited until the next 30 September. The hunting calendar in force then provides for a stop until January 6, 2019. From the following day, the collection of cervids and bovids should resume and end on March 15. Like Federcaccia Umbra, waiting to know the reasons that led the Council of State to confirm the suspension of the Tar, we can do nothing but ascertain the existence of criticalities challengeable by those who, as in the case of appeal 302, are certainly not close to our world or to rurality. In this respect, we have already taken action with the Region to remove these critical issues, in order to allow all passionate selection hunters to be able to carry out their hunting discipline starting from next January.
On the other hand, the Council of State has swept away the residual doubts - if there ever were any - about all other forms of hunting, which are legitimate in both form and substance. Next Sunday, therefore, Umbrian hunters will be able to dedicate themselves to the second day of pre-opening, awaiting the general opening on the 16th and the opening of the boar hunt on October 6th. The suspension, in a nutshell, concerns only the selective killing of cervids and bovids, and not the hunting calendar as a whole as insinuated, for weeks, by the same recurrent association, the WWF. To our associates, but in general to all hunters, we recommend compliance with the rules and maximum collaboration in case of checks, even by the volunteers of the aforementioned association. Whose staff, we remind you, is required to show the identification card complete with prefectoral decree before performing any activity. Good luck to all ”.
